Seattle 2022!

In Mid October, we flew to Seattle for a long weekend! Jessica’s dad turned 80 in August, and we surprised him with Seattle Seahawks tickets. So not only along for the ride was an 80-year-old but also our 16-month-old. Grandpa was very excited about his first vacation with his granddaughter!

We were feeling nervous about the flight, but Aubrey was a champ! We had the GB Pockit stroller in the airport, and we were able to carry the stroller onto the plane and put it in the overhead bin. This was a huge relief! I was so nervous this stroller would become damaged being under the plane!

Our weekend was jam-packed with activities! We enjoyed dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. Then the next day, we hit the music museum in downtown Seattle and explored Pikes Place Market for dinner! Sleep is essential for us and having the ability to put Aubrey down for naps was a priority for us to be able to enjoy the whole weekend! Because of that, we got an Airbnb 10/15 minutes away from all the planned activities.

This was the first vacation where we had a Slumberpod. The Slumberpod is a blackout tent that goes over the pack-and-play. It has a spot for her camera, and a fan is included for good circulation. The Slumberpod fits inside half a carry-on bag. I will only be traveling with it from

here on out! Aubrey slept 2.5-hour naps and 12 hours straight every single night. If you have a child who likes a dark room and their own space, this would be my first recommended must-have item! I am so happy we have this available for families to rent! This will be the perfect accessory for camping, cabins, guest rooms or travel!

The GB Pockit stroller was great to have as well. The stroller folds up small but feels durable. It was a little bumpy on the roads at pikes' place, but it didn’t seem to bother Aubrey. After traveling with our large BOB stroller to Mexico, I needed a smaller travel stroller to make it easier to navigate when I already had my hands full.

Overall, this trip made me very excited to continue traveling, and it only took a few small necessary items to make it feel doable and fun!
